Walnut Shell Applications

As industrial customers move more and more toward green, environmentally friendly products, sustainable and renewable media such as walnut shells are becoming more and more popular. At McKinley Resources Inc., we are proud to distribute this highly versatile and environmentally natural media. Walnut shells are a nontoxic resource for blasting, micro-blasting, filtration, and anti-slip coatings. These shells are used in industrial processes that include deburring, deflashing, and in drilling fluids. They provide abrasive features in cosmetic applications as well, such as hand cleansers and body, foot, & facial scrubs. Walnut shells are used as landscape and infill material, as well as pesticide, herbicide, & seed carriers. McKinley offers walnut shells designations that range from coarse to fine, and in grit sizes from 4/6 all the way up to 60/200. Shell shapes are available up to 25 mm or up to 1", depending on user need, and our walnut shells go through many different tests and inspections before being distributed to our customers. With lead times that range from 1 to 4 weeks, and a special emphasis on providing guidance from our customer service department, we pleased to offer shells that provide a socially responsible alternative for so many different applications.
